9-11 Ceremony Reflects Upon Loss and Love

UpdatedMonday September 12, 2016 byRichard Mucci.

The Elmwood Park Football Bombers, Elmwood Park Crusaders, Manchester Falcons, members of the Elmwood Park municipality, law enforcement, emergency responders, military dignitaries and active community paid respects and remembrance to all those whom have fallen or were involved with the tragic events of 9-11-01.

The community collectively paid respects to those individuals by offering a well presented ceremony with Elmwood Park Engine 4 ladder proudly displaying our American Flag as a backdrop while the participants encircled the perimeter of the football field.  Elmwood Park Bombers President Steve Zaccone lead the event with Elmwood Park Mayor Richard Mola, Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno and Elmwood Park Fire Chief Michael Pressler all offering memorable words of reflection.

While 9-11 is a day of remembrance it’s also a day to celebrate the love of life as well as further understanding what it really means to live life as an American.  We give thanks to all of those who have fought and sacrificed on behalf of all of us and provide us the ability to enjoy gatherings and opportunities within our community and country such as the great sport of football.  Thank you all for attending and we will never forget.
